Education Capacity Data Collection

Health Education England’s (HEE) has developed ‘eCollection’, a suite of data collection tools. To support the growth and development of health care education and training across England, HEE has introduced an Education Capacity Collection pilot. 

The Education Capacity Collection will request education providers to submit data on, academic capacity, placement capacity, simulation capacity. HEE, alongside providers, will be able to make predictions and forecast the capacity required in the system using this intelligence to better understand the ability to support growth in the students and placements for the future and, help to then ensure dialogue across healthcare systems on the actions required and any challenges associated with this.  

This collection will complement other HEE data collections to help ensure we are fully informed to prioritise our planning and finances; to meet your needs and the needs of the future NHS workforce.
