2023/24 - Multi-Year Operational Planning Workforce Collection
Every ICB will need to develop whole system workforce plans, building on the progress towards a pre-covid level of return in the 2022/23 operational plans and People Plan delivery.
Developments made to this collection include an increase in the granularity of roles for; Acute, Ambulance, Community, Mental and Specialist Health Organisations as well as for Primary Care. A supply bridge for year 1 to help better explain the workforce change and a detailed Mental Health collection have also been included in this planning round.
Plans must demonstrate an integrated approach to activity, finance and workforce planning for year 1 and look at a realistic workforce change for years 2-5.
The workforce plan will be collected through the Health Education England (HEE) eCollection portal.
ICBs will lead this workforce planning process and agree a workforce plan across their providers and at a system level, to cover all the below tabs:
- WTE (Acute, Ambulance, Community, Mental and Specialist Health)
- Supply Bridge
- Hosted
- Primary Care
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Mental Health NHS Trusts
- Mental Health for NHS Non-Mental Health Trusts
- Mental Health for Non-NHS providers
